Updates!

So, it's been a long while since I have posted in our blog. Things have been hectic since I have last posted. Let's see what has been happening with the McGuire's.

May

  • Andrew's team made the 6A High School State Championship game. They battled hard to make it to the Final game where they last 10-1 to the Owasso Rams. They had a great season and we are looking forward to the 2010 Season!

July

  • Andrew built a deck in our backyard. He did a wonderful job and did it all by himself! Hopefully we can enjoy it more once it cools off!
  • Early July we found out we were pregnant! We were so excited and looking forward to our future family addition. However, we lost the baby July 29th at 7 weeks. We are trusting in the Lord and taking it day by day. It's been a hard time but we know that God has a plan behind everything and we are looking forward to see how God works in our lives.

August

  • Kristi, Bill, and Cy came to visit! It was a great time! We went to the OKC Zoo, went to Bricktown, and toured OKC. We also went to Eischens in Okarche for Andrew's birthday. Eischen's is the oldest bar/restraunt in Oklahoma. They are known for their fried chicken. Their menu consists of a few items. Most popluar is 1/2 a fried chicken and fried okra. Not very healthy but very good! Here's a picture of Cy from their visit. He is such a happy baby!
  • We went to Gruene, TX with a some good friends, The Wymans. We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, went to the winery, shopped, went to Gruene Hall, floated the river, and just had a fun-filled weekend. It was a great break and much needed!
  • Andrew has started back at school. This year he is teaching Physical Science. He is enjoying it. Should be fun with all the labs he gets to do! He will also be coaching their Fall Baseball team.

So, we are keeping busy and looking forward to this Fall. Hopefully I won't be as much of a stranger and make posts more often. Until next time...

Cypress Marshall Neve

We have a new addition to the family! Cypress Marshall Neve was born February 5th at 4:59 am (Eastern Time) and 21'' and 8 lbs. Mom and baby are healthy and the Neve family is doing great! They will be moving back to Texas, so we are all excited to get to see them more. I can not wait to meet little Cy!

Spring Time!

Just an update of our lives. It's Spring, so that means one thing in this house...baseball season. Andrew is an Assistant Coach for Varsity at Edmond Santa Fe High School in Edmond, OK. He is loving it! He has the perfect schedule at school. He doesn't have a 1st period, 2nd period is his planning period, then he teaches Freshman Health 3rd-5th Period, then off to weight lifting class for 6th period, then baseball 7th. Sounds a lot more interesting than my 8-5 job! I am still enjoying my job a lot! You might get to see more blog posts from me because it's baseball season. Andrew is very busy and gone a lot. Me and the dogs are holding down the fort! We got Pepper a new dog bed and Shelby seemed jealous, so we got her a small one. Now Pepper has taken it over, dogs are so weird. Pepper curls her self small enough to fit in it. She gets up panting for air since she can't breathe all curled up like that.

I recently had my 26th Birthday! It was a great, relaxing day! For Valentines we tried a new Mexican food restaurant on Lake Hefner. It was a great time! Andrew got a new truck the day before Valentine's...so Happy Vday to him! We are actually both enjoying his new car! He has worked very hard for his new truck. It will come in handy with all the home makeovers! We are putting the posts up in the backyard for our new fence. Hopefully in a few weeks we have a lovely new fence and deck. I will post pictures once completed!

Poppy's 80th!!

We recently had the pleasure of being with Family to celebrate Poppy's 80th Birthday! It was a fun day filled with laughter, food, stories, gifts, and love! We all had a wonderful time!! We all arrived around lunch time and had a casual, yet yummy lunch of sandwiches and chips and dips, of course! Most of the afternoonwas spent with the boys playing football outside and us girls having 'girl talk' in the living room. I know Poppy and Cookie appreciated the quality time, as did we! We went to the Club House for dinner. It was very nice and the food was good! Then it was back to Cookie and Poppy's for cake, ice cream, and presents! HAPPY 80TH POPPY!
